The Great Hall, Mirfield

Dine are delighted to offer the Great Hall at Mirfield for Wedding Celebrations up to 120 guests. Situated just a few minutes of the M62, in the peaceful village of Mirfield, the venue provides a stunning backdrop for photographs and drinks receptions before moving into the Great Hall for your wedding breakfast.

The Mirfield Monastery was founded in 1898 by Walter Howard Frere, later Bishop of Truro, establishing the Community of the Resurrection at its current home in Mirfield, West Yorkshire.  Walter Frere was particularly concerned with Christian socialism and the women’s movement and in 1906 and 1907, he presided over conferences at Mirfield at which Keir Hardie and Emmeline Pankhurst participated.

The Mirfield Monastery is still a vibrant community, with the brethren actively involved on the site, within the local community, and further afield.  The community flourished establishing links in South Africa and Zimbabwe that continue to this present day.
